Second project: Repaint the bonus room/library

Couldn’t find a “finished” version of this, but you can see the peach color Christy originally painted in the bonus room/library was a little old fashioned.

This was taken when we were moving out and all of the furniture was out, but it shows the color nicely.

Third project: Repaint Christy’s office

Christy’s office, showing ready. Couldn’t find a shot with the previous color. It was a pale green that made the room look too pasty. Light pink brightened it up. Pink wasn’t exactly an office color, but it was pretty enough and made the room more inviting. It would be a good color for a bedroom, which is really what this space was meant as.

Fourth project: Repaint the guest room

Christy originally painted this with leftover paint from Colby’s room. It looked good in his bright upstairs room, but it was too dark here in the guest room.

The guest room before we got rid of the TV wardrobe cabinet

Painting in progress. It was too dark before, so we tried a bright yellow.

The yellow was awful. This picture does not even do it justice to how awful it looked in person. This was Olympic paint right before they discontinued the line. It was supposed to be a sort of pretty lemon color but it was horrible, gloopy paint and had poor hiding.

Christy finished the room in the yellow. But it looked terrible, so she sanded the gloopy bits, and then repainted with Valspar in Bermuda Sand. The result was much nicer!
